Danang Kitchen
About
A casual Argyle Street restaurant that specializes in the cooking of central Vietnam, with a light, warmly spiced pho.
What to order: Pho dac biet (the special combination), or the mi quang
Danang Kitchen focuses on the cooking of central Vietnam, and it shows in both of its best dishes. The pho dac biet has a light broth with real lift from star anise, clove and cinnamon, wide chewy noodles and a mix of beef cuts. If you're with someone, also get the mi quang: turmeric-yellow rice noodles in a shallow, flavorful broth with shrimp, pork, quail eggs, peanuts, fresh herbs and a sesame rice cracker. It's a good reason to look past the usual pho order on Argyle Street.
