LC Pho
About
A Lincoln Square Vietnamese spot with chandeliers, a painted-sky ceiling and one of the most fragrant bowls of pho in the city.
What to order: Pho with fatty tendon or thin flank steak, plus banh xeo to start
Don't let the dining room throw you. Between the glass chandeliers and the clouds painted on the ceiling, LC Pho looks more like a casino lounge than a noodle shop, but the pho is the real thing. The broth is gingery, aromatic and leans a little sweet, with a dusting of black pepper on top and plenty of herbs. Build your bowl with fatty tendon or thin-sliced flank, and if you're hungry, add a crispy banh xeo or a grilled pork chop rice plate.
