Necessary & Sufficient Coffee
About
A woman-owned Printers Row café that pours Olympia Coffee from Washington state, with a window-only walk-up sibling in Logan Square.
What to order: A flat white or a single-origin pour-over, plus whatever savory bake is in the case
Necessary & Sufficient started as an artist-led placemaking project and grew into a woman-owned café with two very different addresses. The Printers Row original on Dearborn is the sit-down one, serving breakfast and lunch alongside the coffee. The second is a window-service walk-up on Wrightwood in Logan Square, with a few benches out front. Both pour beans from Olympia Coffee, a well-regarded roaster from Washington state, so it's a chance to try a cup you won't find at most Chicago cafés. The café also puts real effort into sustainability.
Address: 728 S Dearborn St, Chicago, IL 60605 (walk-up window at 3624 W Wrightwood Ave, Logan Square)
Neighborhood: South Loop (Printers Row)
